The skeleton plays a crucial role in human health. Comprehensive and non‐invasive visualization of the bone is high demand to detect bone‐related diseases. Clinically, traditional imaging methods still suffer from poor sensitivity, long capture time, inevitable ionizing radiation are inadequate for providing real‐time spatial information regarding cellular activity. Recently, various new techniques that utilize different kinds probes have been developed improving clinical detection bone. In vivo can help continuously metabolism growth, diagnose metastases, visualize medication delivery bones, even image‐guided surgery. This review aims summarize discuss latest published fluorescent accurate First, we will provide general design principle remodelling describe bone‐targeting moieties, highlighting signal targeting ligands, physicochemical properties bone‐specific probes. Next, potential targeted sensitive recent years. Finally, present our perspectives on future advances this field. We believe encourage novel ideas development smart imaging, drug screening, surgery, evaluation therapeutic effects.
